Karbala Friday Prayers Leader: Provide all possibilities for progress, victory of Iraqi forces

Ahlul Bayt News Agency – During his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Iraqi city of Karbala, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ahmad al-Safi stressed that all possibilities for the progress and victory of Iraqi forces on the battlefield against ISIL Takfiri terrorists must be provided.

“These needs must be given priority over other needs which can be provided when the economic situation improves and the current difficult crises pass,” he said.

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani’s representative said that the most important lesson that officials should gain from their recent successes is the importance of coordination between the various military units as this played a most valuable role in the defeat of the enemy.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Safi said that military commanders need to do more to coordinate with other units, but they must be cautious and not neglect the movements of the enemy on several fronts because terrorists can find the smallest outlet to penetrate and will use these opportunities well.

“Anywhere that they are defeated, they will try to ambush us elsewhere. So be sure that your military units are always vigilant and don’t provide the enemy with any sense of security. We also ask God to humiliate the terrorists and save our beloved country from this tribulation,” he said, addressing the commanders.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Safi said the most important tasks of the federal and local governments is to use the blessings of God in the service of the people and if the government does not fulfill its duties, it is possible that these blessings may turn into a disaster and calamity.

Over two thirds of French people want Bashar al-Assad to remain president of Syria

Ahlul Bayt News Agency – A recent survey has revealed that over two thirds of the French want the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to remain in power.

According to the poll carried out by the French newspaper Le Figaro on Thursday, with a sampling of 21,314 French adults, 72 percent of the respondents answered No to the survey question “Should world powers demand Bashar Assad to leave?” while the remaining 28 percent responded Yes to the question.

The survey was conducted ahead of a fresh round of international talks, which started in the Austrian capital Vienna on Friday and is aimed at resolving the ongoing crisis in Syria. This is the third conference of its kind that has tried to end the years-long deadly crisis in the Middle Eastern country.

In a joint statement at the end of the latest round of  the talks, the participants said “substantial differences remain” but it was “imperative to accelerate all diplomatic efforts to end the war.”

The United States has repeatedly demanded that Assad step down, echoing Syria’s foreign-sponsored opposition figures’ stance towards the government in Damascus.

In a Saturday interview with Spanish newspapers, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon reiterated that only Syrian people must be allowed to decide about the future of their incumbent president.

“The future of Assad must be decided by the Syrian people,” Ban stated.

Since the beginning of the foreign-backed crisis in Syria in March 2011, an assortment of militant groups, including the Daesh Takfiri terrorists and the US-backed Free Syrian Army, have been formed in the country with the ultimate goal of overthrowing the Syrian government.

More than 250,000 people have been killed so far in Syria due to the violence perpetrated by terrorists.

Injured Palestinian girl in Israeli jail launches cry for help

Injured Palestinian detainee Shuruq Salah Dwiyat said the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot her twice in the chest and hand on allegations that she attempted to stab an Israeli settler.

Lawyer Hanan al-Khatib, from the prisoners’ committee, quoted 17-year-old Shuruq Dwiyat as stating that the occupation officers cordoned her off and left her bleeding on the ground for about half an hour before they transferred her to the Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital, where she had been held for four days and underwent a medical surgery.

Prisoner Shuruq Dwiyat, a native of Occupied Jerusalem city, was shot and injured by the IOF on October 11, 2015. She was arrested shortly afterwards.

Shuruq is currently held in the Hasharon Women’s hospital, handcuffed and tied to the bed.

The detainee further spoke out against the mistreatment and harsh offenses she has been subjected to at the hands of the Israeli officers.

“On my last day at the hospital I was transferred on a wheelchair to al-Mascoubiya detention center, where I had been made to endure four hours of exhausting interrogation.”

“Right after the investigation the occupation officers took away the wheelchair. I was left on my own, struggling to stand on my feet and walk. I couldn’t endure the pains inflicted by the surgery I’d just undergone,” she added.

“Shortly after, I fell over. The Israeli soldiers sneered at me because of my inability to walk on my own,” she said.

The injured inmate spoke out against the tiring eight-hour-long inter-prison transfer she had been through right after the surgery, referring to the nauseating stinks, psycho-physical torture, and medical neglect she has been subjected to.

The Israeli occupation authorities further slapped visit bans on prisoner Shuruq Dwiyat, denying her the right to see her parents even for short whiles.

At least four female Palestinian detainees are being currently treated in Israeli hospitals after they were shot and injured by Israeli bullet fire.

They have been identified as: Israa Abed, Israa Ja’abis, Marah Bakeer, and Istabraq Nour.

Germany: MKO plot to attack pro-Assad protesters foiled by police

Riot police had their hands full as dozens of anti-Assad activists tried to break through police lines to attack the pro-Assad gathering, among them many women and children, at Berlin’s famous Brandenburg Gate.

The anti-Assad activists were earlier whisked away by a handful of Munafeqins from a nearby anti-Assad rally at the Russian embassy.

Several Munafeqins could be overheard telling the mostly young anti-Assad activists to either attack or secretly infiltrate the pro-Assad rally to film or make photos of the gathering.

Police detained at least two people from within the MKO rally who managed to cross the other side of the street to infiltrate the pro-Assad rally.

The MKO rally was not linked to the Syrian issue but to the recent attack on the Baghdad-based Camp Liberty.
