Lebanese scholar calls for Arabs, Muslims to react against Zionists atrocities in al Aqsa Mosque

Prominent scholar in this message expressed wonder over the neutral stance of the Arab and Muslim world against the recent atrocities by the Zionists and their constant invasions on al-Aqsa Mosque and said,” It is not sufficient only to condemn the Zionist atrocities on al-Aqsa Mosque because they have invaded the holy mosque and disrespected the Muslim prayers.”

He called the recent invasions on the Zionist on al-Aqsa Mosque as an effort in line with Judaization of Al Quds.

Seyyed Ali Fadhlallah added,” It is a great shock that there is no protesting outcry from the world of Islam and Arab states.” praising the brevity of those who have defended the holy mosque of Al Aqsa against Zionist atrocities demanding for more support to protect Islamic sanctities.

He urged Muslim and Arab governments to fulfill their duties towards Islamic sanctities calling Palestinian nation to put an end to their disagreements and convene in a unified body for confrontation with the Zionists.

Lebanese Minister to British PM: 1 in 50 Syrian refugees in Europe could be an Isis jihadist

Ahlul Bayt News Agency – One in 50 Syrian refugees entering Europe could be member of Isis, a Lebanese government minister has claimed.

Elias Bou Saab, the country’s education minister, suggested as many as two per cent of refugees from Syria may be jihadis sent by the so-called Islamic State.

Mr Saab said he had no firm information on terrorist infiltration of refugees, but said his “gut feeling” told him it was happening.

Asked if Isis could be sending militants under the guise of being refugees, Mr Saab said: “Yes, they bring some people, the smugglers. They organise groups and send them out.”

Groups were arriving from Syria which looked different to usual refugees, he said: “They are all dressed with something unified, uniform, vests”.

“I don’t have any information. My gut feeling is, yes, they are facilitating such an operation. For what reason, I don’t know,” he added.

Mr Saab said he thought militants could be going to Europe via Turkey and Greece.

“You may have, let’s say, two per cent that are radicals,” he said. “That is more than enough.”

“We have had that also with our camps here. You find two per cent to three per cent of them.”

“When the Lebanese army were kidnapped in Lebanon the people who kidnapped them came out of the camps,” he added, “they kidnapped the soldiers and they took them to the mountains”.

Mr Saab made the comments while travelling with Prime Minister David Cameron on a visit to Lebanon and Jordan.

During the visit the Prime Minister highlighted Britain’s contribution of over £1bn to support refugee camps for displaced Syrians to stay in the region.

Mr Saab’s comments follow warnings from Pope Francis and Ukip leader Nigel Farage that Islamic State fighters could enter Europe hidden among the large numbers of refugees and migrants.

The Pope told Portuguese radio station Radio Renascença: “The truth is that just 400 kilometres from Sicily there is an incredibly cruel terrorist group. So there is a danger of infiltration, this is true.”

Earlier this month Mr Farage wrote over Twitter: “We must establish who is a genuine refugee and to make sure they are not an extremist from Isis or other jihadi institutions.”

Egyptian billionaire wants to buy a Mediterranean island for refugees

byislamnewsEgyptian TV tycoon Naguib Sawiris, whose fortune is worth an estimated $3 billion, has “identified two privately owned Greek islands that constitute a good opportunity for the project,” a statement from his communication office reads.

“We have corresponded with the owners and expressed our interest to go into negotiation[s] with them,” the statement added, clarifying that the islands, if purchased, would still “fall under Greece’s jurisdiction.”

The future of the deal will depend on Athens’ approval to host the maximum number of refugees permitted under the country’s laws. Sawiris also hopes that Greece will take care of the “administrative process” of bringing the future migrant residence onto the islands.

The 61-year-old also claimed that the UN’s refugee agency UNHCR offered to co-operate on the project, which requires a minimum $100mn investment. The billionaire also seeks to create a new joint-stock company with a starting capital of $100mn which will be tasked with handling donations.

The third richest man in Africa has promoted the idea of “Aylan Island,” named in memory of Aylan Kurdi, ever since the story three-year-old Syrian toddler who washed up on a Turkish beach after a failed attempt to get to the Greek island of Kos was photo-documented, breaking international headlines earlier this month.

In an interview with Newsweek, the billionaire said that his letters to the Italian prime minister, Matteo Renzi, and his Greek counterpart, Alexis Tsipras, have yet to be acknowledged by the two governments.

“I sent a letter saying that I need them to provide me permission to take the refugees there and if they have an island to sell, I am a buyer,” he told Newsweek. “It would help me much and what I need from them is the approval to get the refugees there and the administrative support,” in terms of customs and passport control as well as a small unit for security.

While acknowledging that he is willing to spend up to $200 million on the purchase, the TV tycoon praised the strong response from volunteers and investors that are willing to help the noble cause.

“I have got around 10,000 emails. Many people said they would volunteer to come and help me build this city, I have two people saying they want to donate $10m and so on,” he said.

Besides helping out the refugees, Sawiris says that buying Mediterranean island would help out austerity stricken Athens.

“I know that the Greek government owns a lot of islands that are uninhabited and they need the money. It would be doing the EU a favor, that is giving [Greece] the money anyhow,” Sawiris told Newsweek. “So it would look good that they are helping a humanitarian idea. It would be saving the EU from a burden and helping to do something [about the refugee crisis].”

Yemeni army advances in al-Sawda / Son of Bahrain’s king injured by Ansarullah’s missile attacks

Ahlul Bayt News Agency -ABNA- Yemen’s Ansarullah Movement has announced on its official website that yesterday Yemeni forces could successfully cleaned up regions of Taiz from the Saudi mercenaries.

According to the report Saudi-led coalition forces were attacked and forced to retreat from their military base in the region of ‘al-Sawda’ during an operation by Yemeni Popular Committees.

Yemeni army and Popular Committees also on Monday evening seized the mountains of ‘al-Jarrah’ and ‘al-Noor’ and killed lots of al-Qaeda terrorists, local sources reported.

Son of Bahrain’s king injured by an attack in Yemen’s Marib

Prince Abdullah Al Khalifa, who is against the Bahraini government, said on his Twitter account: “Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, son of Bahrain’s king was injured by Ansarullah’s missile attacks on one of the military bases in Marib, Yemen”.

He said that the news has been confirmed by some sources and continued his remarks by criticizing the policies of Bahrain’s king.

Mecca crane collapse: accident or another 9/11?

Ahlul Bayt News Agency -ABNA- Following Mecca terrible crane accident, which claimed the lives of dozens Muslims as they prepared for the hajj pilgrimage, media have been rife with allegations. While the majority have blamed the tragedy on Saudi negligence, alleging poor organization rather than criminal intentions, other sources have said the hands of terror could lie behind the deaths.

Asr-e Iran, Iranian News website investigated the matter and wrote: “Mecca weather recorded data show that wind speed in the city never went over 22 Kph on September 11 – the time of incident.“

“The crane crash happened in Mecca at 5:10 pm on September 11. It led to the killing and injuring of more than 300 people. Saudi media immediately pinned the accident on the weather, arguing bad conditions prompted the crane collapse. For example Al Arabiya alleged that wind speed at the time of the accident stood at 65 kph“, Asr–e Iran added on its report.

Commenting on the matter, Doctor Mansour al-Mazroui, Head of Climate Change at the Research Center at King Abdulaziz University (KAU) emphasized that wind speed stood in between 40 and 55 Kph, and thus labeled the incident as a freak weather phenomenon.

But is that really what happened? Can weather be really at the root-cause of Mecca crane collapse? Interestingly data gathered at the time of the accident via several independent course clearly show no recollection of any storm or weather anomaly – pilgrims at the time were in no way hindered by the weather.

Following are important points to consider:

According to reports wind direction was pointing Northwest while the crane collapsed pointing southwest – thus it fell opposite the wind.

The crane fell behind Maqam Ibrahim, a place which is well known for being crowded with pilgrims, especially around hajj.

Also, if we check the standard position of the crane and compare it with the position that it had after the incident, one can clearly notice that the crane base controller has been separated from the main body structure.

The accident took place on September 11, an ominous date which rhymes with terror the world over.

In the light of such revelations can we still consider Mecca accident as such or could it be that we have missed the hands of radicals behind such horrific tragedy?

Saudi-US Aggression Commits Fresh Massacre in Saada, Kills 50

The Saudi-US aggression continued its aerial attacks on Yemen on Tuesday, launching brutal air strikes in several provinces of the country which left score of innocent people killed.

The Saudi-led coalition fighter jets launched six air raids in the morning over the region of Maran in Hidan province.

Moreover, the Saudi-US war planes killed Tuesday night around 50 Yemenis by launching a number of air strikes over Al-Mahwit, Saada, Hajja and Thamar provinces, most of them women and children.

Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for 174 days now to restore power to fugitive president Abed-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh. The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed at least 5,862 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and children.

Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

32 Nations Slam Bahrain’s Human Rights Record

In a letter read out to the United Nations Human Rights Council on Monday, the 32 governments said, “…the human rights situation in Bahrain remains an issue of serious concern” to them.

The letter, which was read out by Swiss Ambassador to the UN Alexandre Fasel, regretted the fact that the Bahraini government had failed to provide enough guarantees for a fair trial of prisoners, while it slammed the detention of minors who took part in demonstrations.

“We are concerned there is insufficient accountability for human rights violations,” said the letter, which was also signed by the United States, a close ally of Manama.

Bahrain has been gripped by an uprising since 2011 when people began to take to the streets to demand more freedom and more of a say in the closed ruling system. The demonstrators later demanded the ouster of the ruling Al Khalifa regime. Nearly a hundred have died in protests or under custody while hundreds more are also behind bars for taking part in peaceful demonstrations. 

The Monday letter criticized the government for its intolerance of people’s peaceful rallies, saying such gatherings should not be met with harassment.

“We are concerned about reports of harassment and imprisonment of persons exercising their rights to freedom of opinion and expression and of peaceful assembly and association, including human rights defenders,” the letter said, urging the government “to appropriately address all reports of torture and ill-treatment of detainees and ensure full investigation and prosecution of these cases.”

The statement also called on Manama to agree to a visit by the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture for a probe into repeated cases of mistreatment in the regime’s prisons. The UN investigator was denied one such visit in 2013.

Bahraini officials reacted to the letter, saying the smaller number of signatories compared to last year’s 47 proves a recognition of the kingdom’s efforts in improving the human rights situation.

Rights advocacy groups, including the Human Rights Watch, slammed some governments, including Italy and Spain, for their lack of support to the statement, saying they “put politics before rights.”

American Family Gifts Rare Quran Manuscripts to Iran’s Astan Quds Museum

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Hassan Nourinia, an official with the Astan, said the manuscripts date back to the 11th, 12th, and 13th Hijri centuries (17th, 18th and 19th centuries A.D.).

He said they are also precious in terms of their artistic value.

The Muslim family from New York has also gifted a manuscript copy of the Sahifeh Sajjadiyeh to the museum.

Calligraphed by an artist named Hassan Ali bin Abbas Qoli Sultan in the year 1232 Hijri, the copy is embellished with gold and colors.

With some 20,000 Quran manuscripts and Quranic works, as well as 95000 rare Islamic books, the museum of Astan Quds Razavi is the greatest treasury of rare written works in the Muslim world.

Astan Quds Razavi and its subsidiary cultural institutes comprise 38 libraries with an overall collection of 2.5 million books, including manuscripts and lithograph-printed books.

Chinese imams forced to brandish slogan “our income comes from Chinese Communist Party not from Allah”

In another attempt to suppress religious freedoms, China forced imams from its eastern Muslim majority Xinjiang region to dance in the street and swear to an oath that they would not teach religion to children.

The imams were also forced to tell children that prayer was harmful for the soul.

The Muslim imams were further forced to brandish the slogan that “our income comes from the CKP [Chinese Communist Party] not from Allah”.

State Chinese news said the imams were gathering in a square in the name of civilization where they were forced to dance and chant out slogans in support of the state.

The slogans included statements glorifying the state over religion such as ‘peace of the country gives peace to the soul’.

Speeches were also given which directed youth to stay away from mosques and that prayer was harmful for their health. They were instead encouraged to dance.

Female teachers were instructed to teach children to stay away from religious education and made to swear an oath that they will keep children away from religion.

Uighur Muslims are a Turkish-speaking minority of eight million in the northwestern Xinjiang region.

Also known as East Turkestan, the region has been autonomous since 1955 but continues to be the subject of massive security crackdowns by Chinese authorities.

Rights groups accuse Chinese authorities of religious repression against Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang in the name of counter terrorism.

In August, the northern Xinjiang city of Karamay prohibited young men with beards and women in burqas or hijabs from boarding public buses.

Similarly, Xinjiang banned the practicing of religion in government buildings, as well as wearing clothes or logos associated with religious extremism, last November.

Last year, China banned Muslim students and government staff from observing fasts in the month of Ramadan, while encouraging locals to abstain from wearing veils.

Shocked by the outrageous incident, many took to social media to express their views.

Research: British Muslim Women 71% more Likely to Be Unemployed

Discrimination against Muslim women in the workplace means they are much more likely to be unemployed than white Christian women – even when they have the same qualifications and language skills – research showed.

British Muslim women are around 70 percent more likely to be looking unsuccessfully for work, according to the University of Bristol’s Nabil Khattab, who spoke at the British Sociological Association’s annual conference in Glasgow, The Independent reported.

The recent national Labor Force survey showed the unemployment rate among Muslim women was 18 percent, compared with 9 percent for Muslim women and 4 percent for white Christian women. This has previously been attributed to Muslim women being less well educated and less fluent in English, but Khattab says his data shows the discrepancy is also likely to be explained by employer discrimination.

Khattab analyzed a sample of 2,643 from the national Labor Force survey to compare the rates of those looking for work without success. He adjusted the sample in order to compare women with similar educational level and language abilities and controlled for marital status, children and strength of religious belief.

He found that Muslim women were 71 percent more likely than white Christian women to be unemployed, even when they had the same educational level and language skills. Muslim women were 57 percent more likely to be unemployed than white Christian women.

“Economic activity among Muslim women in the UK remains considerably lower and their unemployment rate remains significantly higher than the majority group even after controlling for qualifications and other individual characteristics,” Khattab said.

He added that the conspicuousness of Muslim women’s religious background was likely to be a key factor in explaining their exclusion. “They wear the hijab or other religious symbols which makes them more visible and as such exposed to greater discrimination.”
