30% achieved of Imam Hussein sanctuary expansion project
Ahlul Bayt News Agency – The architectural staff of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has achieved 30% of the expansion project of Imam Hussein sanctuary (the area which is around the lattice-enclosed tomb).
Kereem El-Embary, director of the Engineering and Architecture Department of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, stated that the purpose of launching the expansion project is to expand the area where a larger number of pilgrims can circumambulate the lattice-enclosed tomb of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him).
He said further that this project is the preliminary phase of the expansion project of the dome of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine.
